Hello , There is pregnancy fitball in Kingsdown Gym in High Kingsdown (top of st michaels hill) I didn't go but my friend did. Pregnancy yoga a the yoga centre off gloucester road, went to this with my first and it was good. Think there are some people running private antenatal classes in westbury on trym. You could try going to a shop like born on gloucester road as they have lots of leaflets and notices for pregnancy and baby activities, doulas, etc. I have made a couple of friends from meet a mum on netmums, but very few people post from the clifton redland area. You will meet people at antnatal and post natal classes when you get to that stage!

Good luck with the little one in September, hope it all goes well.

Perhaps you could advertise for a pregnancy walking group that you could continue post birth to egt back into shape? We do do a few laps of the downs!!

Hi there - I'm in my very early stages (8 weeks) and just joined Mumsnet to see what's what. I think there are antenatal yoga classes at the relaxation centre (all Saints Road, Clifton) which might be good. Walks round the Downs are a good plan as well, seeing as they're on our doorstep! I've seen something called Pushy Mothers (www.pushymothers.com) which isn't in our area yet but it might be worth contacting them to see whether they're setting up anything for Bristol - they focus on postnatal exercise so if we hassle them now there might be something by the time you or I have delivered! Other than that, I'm relying on getting more info when I start antenatal clauses in due course....hope all goes well....Clare

Hello there,
there's a great attachment parenting ante/post natal group in North Bristol.
We meet every other Wed (2 - 5pm) in St. Andrew's Park (if not raining - if it does rain it's either off to the cafe, or the softplay)
Many of us have older children too, so it's not strictly only open as an ante/postnatal group,- basically anybody with young children is most welcome to join us.
