Primary schools Tunbridge Wells help!

Hi there, we are looking to move to
RTW this year but do not know the primary system well. Can anyone advise how easy it is / is not to get a place at St John's if you live within catchment? This would be a standard application as opposed to in-year.

Any other thoughts on relocating to Tunbridge Wells from London as a newcomer would be welcome. Is it a friendly place? I'm slightly worried that with my little one soon to be past toddler/playgroup age that I might struggle to find opportunities to make new friends.

Thanks in Advance

Grace

Hi Grace, I think for a reception place you should be fine getting into St John's if you are within catchment. I've found TW a very friendly place and it's been easy to make friends. We moved when my little one was smaller though so have been through then nursery years here - although quite a lot of that was Covid! St John's seems like it has a nice community so you are likely to meet people on your street or in the parks as much as at groups etc. Good luck with the move!
