Does anyone have any recommendations for a mainstream primary school in Edinburgh or the Lothians which is particularly good for high-functioning autistic children? My daughter is autistic and unfortunately, the schools in my local area do not have a great reputation (we have also had a very negative experience with the nursery attached to our primary school and another with a private one nearby). Sadly there is a real issue with awareness, many places seem to be willing to make statements about the importance of inclusivity but aren't willing to do the work necessary or imply unwillingness to engage in a constructive way.
We are open to relocating within the Edinburgh/Lothians area to get into the right catchment area.
