Friendships

Hi. I'm just wondering about children who struggle to make friendships. My 10 year old child has lovely friends at school and is included in things but doesn't have that special friend that he has started to really want. His brother has some great friends who he has sleepovers and things with and it's becoming more apparent that this is missing from his life.
Is anyone else experiencing this? I know there have always been children who struggle to make proper friends...what do you do? Thank you!

Hi OP, I found your post by searching for similar. My DS is almost 10 and we are having the same problem exactly. We would just love for him to have at least 1 good friend. Have you had any luck since you posted with ways to find your DS friends?

Hi. No, I've looked into lots of youth clubs but they're mainly for year 7 on and he doesn't want to go. He's never found a sport or club that he really wants to stick with. It's hard! Would your boy like sea cadets or scouts or anything? All they need is one person they really click with!
