looking for a church in edinburgh

I'm thinking of finding a new church for me and ds. Would need to be south west or central edinburgh and fairly (but not extremely) liberal.

any ideas? searching online hasn't really got me anywhere and all my friends go to the church I'm thinking of leaving.

No personal experience but I have a good friend who goes to somewhere called Charlotte which I think is near Haymarket. I can ask her about it if you would like?

St Peters in Lutton Place is nice, I went there in my pre-athiest days. It's Anglican and fairly middle of the road.

I'm not particularly religous but I go to a lovely mums group based at a church in Casselbank street Leith. The group is ran by some of the people that go to the Church.

My friend used to go to the Church every Sunday, she has sinced moved area but she said they are all really lovely, welcoming and friendly.

They are sooo lovely at mums group and have a creche for little ones to.

Have been going to another one which I find really unfriendly..that sounds much better!!

They have 3 different mums and little ones depending on the age of your child. On a Monday(when I usually go)its for mummies with children over 1 and then on Tuesdays and Thursdays its for mummies with children under 1. If you have have more than 1 child which fit into each age range you can bring both children to either days. Creche for little ones by the way is just on Sundays when church service is on.

A Monday sounds perfect...it might be just a bit too hard to get to for me though, in Newington and can't drive!!
