Considering moving to Braintree

Hi all,

I am looking at moving and Braintree came up. What is this area like for crime and for a toddler to grow up and go to primary school? This is not necessarily forever home, but an in-between before my 2 year old son would start secondary school. I need to get into London, I wouldn't necessarily go from Braintree but would drive to a better station.

Great notley and white court estate is nice, and white court is a good school, close to main roads to get drive to train stations.
