Hi everyone

I've arranged to meet a friend next week who's also got a 2 month old baby (mine is the same age too). Can anyone recommend a baby friendly place in Richmond to have lunch, that could get 2 prams in at the same time. It'd have to be in the town centre as we're both getting there on the train/bus. Also does anyone know of any breast feeding rooms in Richmond?

thanks

Mel

Only places I can think of to eat for lunch are Wagamama, Giraffe & Gourmet Burger. There is a Slug & Lettuce on the river as wellbut don't know if they can fit the prams in, probably could. Don't know about the bf rooms though.

hth & hope you have a nice lunch

M&S cafe upstairs is ok - nothing special but fine and has loos etc next door, always useful! Also the "Tidetables" cafe near the Slug & Lettice on the river is a nice veggie cafe. Or how about Carluccios? When you come out of the station, cross the road and turn right - it's about a 2 minute walk on the left. None of these places have breastfeeding rooms but they are all kiddie friendly.

Thanks for the suggestions ladies- I did a quick scout and it's daft that Richmond, with so many babies around, hasn't catered more for bfing mums or even nappy changing rooms- Kingston has a couple of places at least. My mate and I ended up going to John Lewis on Oxford St (bit of a location change) instead!

Dickens and Jones has a nappy-changing place, in case anyone was wondering.

As for the breastfeeding, I've breastfed in most of the places mentioned above and nobody had a problem with it as far as I could tell. M&S caff in particular is great for it as you get besieged by old ladies telling you what a lovely sight it is and what a beautiful baby etc.

Hello,

I have a similar question: Meeting friends for lunch in Richmond next weekend and one has a toddler with them. Would like to book a table somewhere, but Giraffe doesn't take advance bookings (grr) so wonder if there's anywhere I haven't thought of yet?

Went out for lunch the other day to Tootsies. Its on the river just past the bridge near the pitcher and piano. Very very kid friendly. All kids get an activity set. Kids menu by annabel karmel (if you are into that sort of thing food is good too.
Lots of kids in the place and everyone ok about it. Just thought I would recommend it.
