English tutor

Hi,

I wondered if anybody could recommend an English tutor to teach a nervous level 1 ASD year 9 child who is sitting out of class to avoid the horror topic?

If they could go into Chesterton Community College during the day that would be especially helpful but at home is also good. We live just north of the city centre in Cambridge.

It would probably be to study either Pride and Prejudice or The War of the worlds.

The child is a super-keen reader and devours novels and all kinds of books, especially science and science fiction, but finds horror terribly difficult to cope with.

Thanks!

It would be for the first half term of next year, so September and October 2023, for six week. It would be four lessons each fornight, where a lesson is 100 minutes long.

We are happy to pay for the DBS check but it would need to start soon to be ready for after the summer holiday.
