Hi,
my dh is possibly relocating to the Worcs area for work. We currently live in Australia but are both originally Poms. His family are in Worcs, mine are in Essex. What i was wondering, what can you tell me about living in the area with small children? What are schools like, play areas, parental support, 'culture' etc etc?! We have 3 yr old boy, and 7 month baby girl. Also any news/general tips etc re living in the UK - after 10 years in Oz it all seems a bit weird to be coming 'home'!

Hi Ceba
I am in Worcester...........junior shcools very good.....senior not so but a stack of good private schools.

I work full time so not much up on the mummy bit but I have an australian nanny who has settled in fine!

House prices pretty steep but the market has dived of late.

Whereabouts are you thinking of - Worcester itself, or Worcestershire - in which case which bit?

Hi, I'm in Malvern. I have a 3year old and a 9 month old, both girls. Schools are great, both primary and secondary. Lots of toddler groups, good nurseries and friendly people. Also good swimming pool and lots of playgrounds.

Hi

Ive only lived in Worcester for a year. I previously lived in london but me and my DH wanted a better start for our DD, Grace, whos 17 months old.

We find it ok. Big difference from London. The pace is alot slower which is nice.

Hace taken Grace to a couple of toddler groups but, have recently moved again to Droitwich, Worcestershire and am in the process of starting all over again with toddler groups in this area.

People are friendly enough though. I'm sure you'll settle in fine.

Just got to adapt to the cold weather!!

Moved to Kiddy from London 6 years ago (how time flies!). Took a while to get used to it but v happy and settled now. Met lots of lovely people, near enough to Brum to get city fix, and lots of beautiful countryside on your doorstep.
