Baby Swimming Lessons

DOes anyone here know of any swimming lessons that are available for babies under a year but not the ones held at crook log?

im really looking for the private ones that focus more on actual swimming than just water confidence - like www.waterbabies.com (but they dont cover Bexley!

Thanks

Furry!

I swim at Erith pool and there are classes for babies there (Tuesday mornings) run by Surestart. Contact your local Surestart (I think it's free too).

Not sure that any class for babies under a year is going to focus on actual swimming though. It's more about fun and singing and splashing about.

Thanks

will look into those, i just really like the sound of the waterbabies classes but they cant find a pool local to dartford/Bexley/ Sidcup and so the nearest is Otford!

We use a private baby swimming teacher over Bromley/Keston direction and travel from Bexley. Let me know if you want contact details.

How much does the private teacher charge if you don't mind me asking? Is it in their house? Is the pool warm? Can you please let me know the contact details? Many Thanks Kate higgsbubs(at)aol(dot)com

Hi - This is my first post just joined today. I use to take DS1 to Crook log from when he was 8 months - paid around £50 for ten weeks continued until he was two and a half then got bored with he lack of progress
:-( It seemed always to focus on confidence in the water and emphasis on singing etc...

I've now booked swimming lessons for DS2 who is 10 weeks old, via my local children's centre and paid only £5 for the ten weeks - These will be at Erith so will see how much they differ from CL.

If anyone does have further info on actual swimming lessons for babies would love to know more.

Hi Karen

This is my 1st post too, and I was wondering what days the swimming lessons at Erith took place, my son would love something like that - also which childrens centre did you book it through?

Thanks for your help.

Hi Lindsey,
The swimming lessons are held on Tuesday mornings, I booked mine via St Augustine Children's Centre - they have loads of stuff going on daily and it's all free :D which is great.
I'm starting baby massage classes on the 21st April - they also have Baby Yoga and lots more.

Just been with DS1 to Music Therapy session this morning :-)
It's really great!
