Anfield to city centre after Eve match

DH is taking DS to his first match at Anfield. Should have been a Sat afternoon match, rearranged due to match cancellation to Wed 1st March. Don’t want to relinquish tickets but worried about them getting back from anfield to Albert dock hotel. Any advice? DH uses Uber but no idea where a safe pick up point might be post match or whether bus a better option

We either get the bus back from anfield to the city centre or pre- book a local taxi company to pick us up. Taxi might be better as it's a bit quicker and you don't have to wait in a queue for ages.

The taxi companies we used advised us where it was best for them for pick up - they know where's busy and where to avoid on match days!

It's safe and fine to be walking around anfield after a match btw.

If they’re staying at the docks they can walk to Kirkdale station, get the train to central, turn left as they come out and walk straight down Hanover Street to the docks
