Does anybody know if the furnishing fabrics shop is still there? IIRC it was on the same side as Waitrose, and either next door or very near to Waitrose.

Unfortunately it closed in 2016 according to the local news. Fabric Land in Cheapside also closed, so there's not a lot of choice for fabric shops in the Reading area. Masons in Abingdon is great if you wanted to travel somewhere.

I don’t think so. There is one near cemetery junction I discovered recently, and another on the outskirts of Henley though I’ve not been to that one. I don’t know if they do furnishing fabrics though. John lewis definitely do.

Bother. I need some very untrendy window nets. I got them there 10-12 years ago.

Is the shop in Henley Lady Sewandsew? Utterly gorgeous and utterly expensive quilting fabric and wool, with some dressmaking fabric.

What/where is the shop at Cemetery Junction? The only one I know of sold salwar kameez fabric sets.

I don't know how I will cope without Fabricland 😢

Dunelm do some net curtains (voile) so might be worth seeing if they will work for you. So do Argos.

IKEA do some net curtains, as do dunelm which is over the road.

Yes that’s the one in Henley, haven’t been there but it sounds right up my street!!

this is the one at cemetery junction - www.sewdevine.co.uk I popped in at Christmas and got bias binding, piping cord, ribbon etc but didn’t really look at fabrics as I had my daughter with me so was in a bit of a rush.
