Auchterarder -relocation

Hi, looking at relocating to Auchterarder with 3 young kids. Is this a good place to be based for a commute to Dundee and lots going on for kids?

I'm a bit further north, so don't know the town too well for facilities etc for kids. But it doesn't seem the obvious place for the commute, unless you've other links to it. You'd be probably an 80-mile round trip drive. Nearest train station would be Gleneagles, which is only about 3 miles away but the wrong direction ... and there's not much choice of trains. From visits, it's a lovely place - but wouldn't be where I'd pick if Dundee was the only thing to consider - if one of you was also commuting to Glasgow, then fair enough as it's pretty equidistant I suppose.

I work in Dundee and a coworker commutes from Auchterarder so its definitely doable!
