Hi all,

I have been looking at Nurseries in E17 that start from 6 months up. I have heard good things about Tom Thumb but the starting age is 1 year. Do any of you have any experiences you could share?

thanks v much

Sharon

My lo goes to Woodside Children's Centre on the corner of Wood Street and Forest Road and I can't sing its praises highly enough. My lo's been going since the age of 1 but they take babies of 6 months. Their baby room is small, but the carers are just wonderful, it's very well run, they do fantastic activities and take them outside every day. The only downside is that we were very lucky to get in when we did - I've heard there is now a long waiting list.

Lloyd Park has got a good reputation (and the location is fantastic right in the park) but its waiting list is ridiculous. They've got a satellite centre on Billet Road though - no idea how easy that would be for you to get to. I've heard good things about it though.

Hi

Help! I live in the Leytonstone area and I'm looking for a nursery for my 6 month old. I've heard that there are one or two decent ones in the Wanstead area - but I'm lookinf for something a bit closer to home. Any ideas?

Cheers

My lo goes to Snowberry Children's Centre in Leytonstone (I think it's changed it's name to Leytonstone Children's Centre now). He started at rather expensive one in Wanstead, but I wasn't happy with it. I called Snowberry on the off chance and they had a last-minute cancellation and he got a place.

It's been great - he's happy and developing really well. The building is purpose built so everything is designed with children and babies in mind. The baby room is lovely and bright, there's a really good outside play area - and the staff are brilliant. He's been there since he was 10 months and he's just turned 17 months.

I don't think he'll be there beyond two, but it's the right fit for now.

How much do they charge, LM? We are looking for childcare in Leytonstone from january 2009, and just trying to look at options.
