New to Woking and looking for childminder recommendations?

Hello

I will be moving to Woking from Hertfordshire in the next month or so as my husband is being relocated. I am due to go back to work at the beginning of April (for 3 days a week), so need to sort out childcare arrangements for my 9 month old boy quickly! I am going to try and get him into a nursery, but am not optimistic given the short time frame. Can anyone recommend a good childminder that I can use until we manage to find him a nursery place?

I am in a bit of a panic, as it took ages to sort out his childcare arrangements in St Albans (where we currently are), before we knew we would be moving, so am worried I won't have enough time before I have to go back to work in April!

If it helps, we will be moving to the Oriental Road area.

Any advice would be really appreciated, as I have absolutely no experience in this (he is my first child), so have no clue where to even start!

Thanks!

Didn't want to leave this unanswered and let you think we're unfriendly in Woking.
Don't know if you're Catholic but Oriental Road is very near St Dunstan's Primary school where my dc go. They often advertise childminders and several of the Mums mind children as well. Will check if there are any with vacancies at the moment.

I'm an Ofsted registered nanny / babysitter in the Woking area, but alas I can't help you myself at present for daytime childcare... though could with evening babysitting.
For daytime childcare, if it is of help you can get a list of registered childminders with vacancies from [email protected], Website, 08456 011777.
Some childminders list themselves on-line:
West Woking
East Woking
North Woking
South Woking
