Dick Whittington

Yes, yes, it?s time for Pantomime. This year, the Wesley Players are presenting ?Dick Whittington?.

Dick sets off to London with his faithful cat Tommy to seek fame and fortune. Meeting up with Alderman Fitzwarren, Dick begins working in his shop but dark forces are about and poor Dick is accused of theft and then press-ganged aboard the good ship Mary Rose before he can prove his innocence. With the Alderman and his daughter also aboard and unaware of Dick?s presence, the ship is attacked by pirates and then caught in a vicious storm and wrecked on the Barbary Coast. Taken prisoners by the Barbary Queen, can Dick help them all escape their fate, a large cooking pot, and be reunited with his girl, the lovely Alice Fitzwarren?

Performances are being held in the upminster methodist church hall, Hall Lane Upminster Essex at 8.00pm on Thursday 31st January, Friday 1st, and Saturday 2nd of February with two Matinees on the Saturday at 1:30pm and 4:30pm.

Ticket prices are £6 (Adult), £4.50 (Concessions) and £3 (Child). Tickets can be reserved in advance by phone on 01708 224477 or email [email protected]

PS We are a little amature dramatics group, and totally non profit

Any questions just ask, we do have lot of fun.. And the kids always love it. My eldest is playing one of the little pirates!

I just realised how silly that sounds! Of course there aren't usually pirates in Dick Whittington! We just added some!
