I'm currently living with parents with my 16 month old daughter, I have been through a very tough time and there is literally no room for us in the house. I am really struggling to find somewhere to rent as no estate agents Will accept me as I'm unemployed and I can't find any private landlords, no one gets back to me after I tell them that I'm single with a baby. I would be able to afford my rent every month though that's the thing as I do get abit of help financially.. I just wanted to know if anyone had any ideas on how I can get something. I have submitted an application form through council but they always say there is no eligible properties available for me

You need to be more upfront about the financial help.
What is the financial help? Benefits, gifts, child maintenance?

You need to prove that you can be a reliable tenant. Speak to agents that will take people on benefit. Don't be too picky.

Good luck

Could your parents be a guarantor for the flat? Just to give a potential landlord some piece of mind.

Do some councils give help/advice/practical support to people who are not eligible for social housing but need help? Also, get on your council housing list
