Hello. We are a young family with a preschooler considering moving to Surbiton. We have read a lot of nice comments on Surbiton and like the area when we visited it for house viewings. However, we have just read some old discussions about the YMCA hostels and that some locals were concerned about the safety of the area due to some of those who stay in the hostel.
We are wondering what it is like in recent years and whether the area feels safe, especially at night?
