Hi all, my girlfriend and I are looking to buy a house in Letchworth (previously rented in London and then Hitchin). From looking at other threads it really seems like a mixed bag in terms of the areas, although most posts are quite old. Icknield Way is within budget, but I can't find much information online about the area - I was wondering if anybody could comment on how nice it is, particularly the side close to the station/town? The house has been on the market for quite awhile which raises some concern, but the house needs a bit of work so perhaps that's the reason. I have driven along the road and it looks nice, but I would appreciate some unfiltered opinions (the good and the bad) from the locals!
Information on quality of schools is also helpful, although slightly less of a concern as we are a young couple.
