Hi Lisa, I'm Rachel and I live just outside Dunfermline, I have a 5 month old girl. How is the pregnancy going second time round? Do you know if it's a boy or a girl?

staying at home for now, though if needs must...
Girls are so much fun! I had wanted a boy first but I'm so glad i have a girl, they get dresses and party tights and pretty shoes!
Do you live in the town? My husband and I are in steelend. Its a pretty small place but its really nice. I have lived just down the road in saline all my life so its great being close to my mum! (she's a great babysitter!)
Are you working or do you stay at home too?

suzi2 · 27/01/2008 14:26

Hello. I'm just north of Dunfermline though I'm in the town a lot if anyone fancies a meet at some time. I have a DS who is 2.5 and a DD who is almost 1.

SLC1972 · 07/10/2008 22:52

Hello to Dunfermline mums Suzi, Ruth and Lisa, are you still around? I'm moving to Dunfermline in a few months and am on mumsnet to see if I can make some online pals b4 I get there as I have a son aged 9 months who desperately needs other little ones to play with. Did you guys ever meet up, are there any local mums and toddlers group I could hook up with?

Stephanie

Hi everyone, I'm new to the site as well. I'm Shona and live in Dunfermline with my husband and 3 yr old daughter. Am expecting my second in mid-March. Found out yesterday that it's another little girl and she's got Downs syndrome. Anyone local with any experience or advice?

cali · 10/10/2008 18:54

Hi, I live just outside Dunfermline. Have 2 dd's, 3 years and 1 year.

I am in the process of updating the local mumsnet site for Dunfermline so will hopefully soon have more listings for baby/toddler groups.

SLC1972, when are you moving?

ShonaW, I've only got a limited amount of experience with DS (paediatric/neonatal nurse) but I am on mumsnet quite a bit in the evenings if you ever want to chat to someone,

You never know, we might even get enough people to have a dunfermline meet up!

ShonaW · 13/10/2008 11:37

Sounds good Cali. Come on Dunfermline (or nearby) mums make yourselves known and we can maybe start a regular meet up. Tea/coffee and muffins at Starbucks?

cali · 13/10/2008 23:36

Sounds good, was about to ask if we had a Starbucks in Dunfermline, then remembered the new Kingsgate!

I blame dd2, have been awake since 3am thanks to her and have worked 12.5 hours today, have no idea why I'm not in bed??

eilidhfi · 15/10/2008 10:09

Another Dunfy resident here! I've got one dd who is 5 months old. Would definitely be up for a meet up

SLC1972 · 15/10/2008 23:50

Hi Dunfermline mammas,
Cali - I'm due to move to Dunfermline in spring next year. My partner currently drives through for work from Glasgow each day. Hope to get a day or two in Fife soon to meet with possible childminders and have a wee nose about to see which area we might like to move to...any suggestions welcomed as we don't know the area at all. Will be working in Kingsgate centre but happy to travel a bit for work if it means living somewhere better suited to kids e.g parks nearby.

jc15 · 22/10/2008 13:09

Hi
Dalgety Bay is a lovely area to stay as there are lovely walks, good schools/nurserys and is only 10mins to centre of Dunfermline.
Also excellent child-minders in Dalgety Bay

jc15 · 27/10/2008 18:32

SLC1972
when are you visting.. We could arrange a meet-up. I have 2 kids 9 months and 21 months.

kippen1976 · 11/12/2008 17:11

Hi,
I'm a mum to a 3 and half year old, an almost two year old and 20 weeks pregnant with my 3rd. Live just outside dunfermline but would love to make some new friends for myself and the kids as we are fairly new to area. If anyone knows of any good clubs or groups i'd love to hear from them.

Laura
