Hi 2beans!

I'm just outside Godalming with a 4.5 year old. Are we too far away and is dd too old???? She's started school this year so I'm a SAHM without a child at home I suppose

I'm still interested in cake though

2beans · 23/01/2008 15:26

Hi-ho HCB,

Lucky you, no children for most of the day - just endless shopping and lunch opportunities! Heaven!!

That said I have twins that are a very noisy 14 months, so it maybe that you would prefer to have your cake and it eat quietly, alone!!

I don't really know Godalming that well (Waitrose & Bell & Dragon!), but once we are all piled in the car it doesn't really matter where we go.

Hi 2beans. Just spotted your message

I have a friend with a four year old and 2 year old twins. They are gorgeous - so lovely for them to have someone the same age at home. Hard work for you though, I imagine. I sometimes think its a shame for dd to be the only child in our house - adults quite often 'don't play
right'

Hope some other people reply to your message...I've not had much luck locally tbh. Don't think many Guildford area people MN!

candifloss · 27/01/2008 18:30

hello i am new and just found this bit so helloooooooo guildford

2beans · 28/01/2008 08:57

Hellooooooooooooooo Candifloss - ru new to MN or Guildford?

So there is one more MNer in Guildford.

HcB sounds like you are maybe thinking of adding a new bunny to your nest??? Should be warren I guess.

As for having twins, yes they are a handful and I really wouldn't recommend them. HOWEVER - they are supposed to be having a snooze at the moment although I can hear them giggling away. Their cots are next to each other, so they will be swapping teddies and pinching each others blankets. They also tickle each other through the bars!! So stuff like that more than compensates.

Hi 2beans and candifloss! Am not doing well at checking this bit....

No plans for another, but I do sometimes wonder

I don't think there are many of us in Surrey on MN, or at least that show our noses. But you never know!

2beans · 04/02/2008 21:33

Hi Ladies,

Well it looks like most are too shy to say hi...............

So at least that means more cake for us

Shall we just arrange for a meet up & say if anyone wants to anonymously join us then they will be more than welcome!

I am happy to go for Godalming - is there anywhere in particular that you would recommend? Also are any days better for you? In general Tuesdays are the best day of the week for me.

Sorry it has taken me a while to get back to you - my two have that sickness bug that is doing the rounds at the moment

Hi all,

It looks as though no-one has added to this for a while - but I'm adding to this in the hope that you are all still around. I'm at home with a one month old and keen to meet for coffee and chats. I'm in Pyrford, but pretty mobile with a car...

Anyone feeling social ?

RiojaLover75 · 28/03/2008 21:36

I'm between Woking and Guildford and always up for meeting new people. I have two sons, aged 2.8 years and 10 months.

2beans · 15/04/2008 09:45

Hi ladies,

What a nice surprise - there are more Guildford Mummies.

Hello!!

Hello everyone, not sure if you're still checking this thread but wanted to say hi.
I'm near Godalming with a 5yr old ds and would love to meet if you're planning something?

hotcrossbunny · 04/06/2008 11:59

Hi Parachutes. I'm near Godalming with a nearly 5 year old dd. I'd love to meet for coffee during the day, or after school for a play in the park. (For dc's....)

parachutes · 06/06/2008 08:23

Hi Hotcrossbunny, thanks for the reply.
Ds isn't in school as yet as he hasn't been well so I still can't go for a nice coffee!!
(welll I can but the conversation gets interrupted a lot!)

I would love to meet for a play one afternoon if you're free...?

pen2101 · 07/06/2008 13:46

hotcrossbunny · 09/06/2008 10:20

Hi Parachutes

I've a funny feeling we've already met... We'd be very happy to meet for a play sometime though.

parachutes · 09/06/2008 12:26

Hotcrossbunny-I've been thinking that all weekend!
If we have then I would be more than happy to meet...we've just come through months of ill health (ds) where we haven't done anything.
On a more positive note we eventually had an "official" diagnosis at the end of April.

Let me know if you still want to meet and hopefully we can arrange something (email below) x

Hi Pen2101-sorry to hear about Jack. I empathise as I know how stressful it can be when a child is ill. I imagine you're looking for people who have children closer to 18mths? You would always be welcome to come for a coffee!

Feel free to email me on [email protected]

RiojaLover75 · 09/06/2008 20:41

Hi Penny, I'm local to West Byfleet and have two boys, DS1 is nearly three and DS2 is just one. I'd be interested in meeting up if you fancy play and/ or coffee.

Was beginning to think there was no-one around the Woking area!

hotcrossbunny · 10/06/2008 10:27

Morning

Parachutes - I'm glad your ds finally has a diagnosis. Hopefully its one that isn't too difficult to deal with? Would love to meet up...maybe in the next couple of weeks? When is best for you?

Looking at all the people on our thread, we all have completely different ages of children, and haven't really managed to get anything off the ground. Maybe we could arrange an evening drink or something instead?

Anyone interested?

RiojaLover75 · 10/06/2008 12:02

Ooo yes, I can do an evening out! Count me in.

parachutes · 10/06/2008 15:41

Definitely yes to an evening out!

parachutes · 11/06/2008 13:45

Hi HotCrossBunny, the diagnosis was expected and it's really a case of managing things, assuming it doesn't progess.

Would love to meet for a play and a coffee. The problem we have is that, due to the fatigue levels of ds, we can't always stick to the plans we make. I do appreciate that that is difficult when we don't know people very well because it may seem as though we're not interested in being friends, when in fact we are but circumstances prevent us from being very social
If you are who I think you are I lost all communication details just after christmas!

We would probably be looking at week after next now for another play date (!) so if you're free then that would be lovely.
