Meet a local Mum

Have any of the Mums listed under this met up yet? I tried to contact one of the Mums and wasn't aware that you had to allow contact in your settings. So I couldn't contact her and no-one could contact me! Not sure that works very well then. Anyway, I'm bored and lonely and if there's anyone in the Blackheath area who fancies a coffee, let me know!

Hi Sheppers. At the moment still really busy at work and just useless by the time i get home..., but i'm planning to stop working mid March (baby due mid April), so i'll keep an eye on this area, i'd love to meet local mums as soon as i've stopped working (or just have more enery - weekends seem to be booked up now ) Coffee sounds lovely. Oh, I'm in West Greenwich btw, so very close to you.

Bimble · 28/01/2008 10:58

Dear Sheppers, I know the feeling! I'm usually free Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays for coffee so give us a shout. I live in Eltham but it's no trouble to come to Blackheath! Get in touch!

Harimad · 02/02/2008 00:04

There's heaps of groups around Blackheath / Greenwich etc.

If you fancy it, I'd suggest 'Footprints' at the church hall in Reynolds Place (Blackheath Standard) on Mondays from 1.30. Also, there's 'Rhyme Time' at Blackheath Standard Library on Tues / Thurs at 2 p.m. These are great just to start seeing soon-to-be familiar faces.

Mycenae House does lots of baby groups (but you have to pay).

Also, depending on the age of your baby, there's Toddler World down at the Arches in Greenwich, which is a soft play room, open on most days of the week...

Hi Bimble. I normally come to Eltham on Friday morning for the Rhyme Time at the library. Have you been yet? It's great fun, but gets really crowded so you have to get there early. There's a nice cafe there aswell for coffee afterwards. Let me know if you fancy meeting up there.

Hi Sheppers (and everyone else!)
I've just moved 2 weeks ago from Bristol and live near Westcombe Park station so Blackheath is just down the road. My little boy is about the same age as yours (if your profile is up to date!) and I'm bored and lonely too so would love to meet up or go to a toddler group together....they can be a bit intimidating on your own! Let me know if you fancy doing something....my diary is pretty empty at the moment so any day is good!
Marie.

Hi Mazzle. Couldn't agree more! I've been too chicken to go anywhere yet, and there are apparently loads to try. It's a risk giving this out but contact me at [email protected] and we'll arrange something. Any other non-weirdos can use this aswell!! Look forward to meeting up. Carolyn

Hi Sheppers. My dd is 2, so a little older than your ds, but she likes a younger man! We live in Eltham, so fairly near again. Also we usually go to baby rhyme time in the libary on a friday... I wonder who you are! Mind you its getting stupidly busy of late. They've started a new one on a wednesday that I was thinking of switching to, may be quieter. Anyway if you fancy meeting there, I'd be up for a coffee after (any excuse for a mocha me)! Also there is toddlers world there on a wednesday 11.30 til 1pm so you can truely tire you're LO out!
Anyway, let me know if you want to meet up.

Hi ladies I too live in the Westcombe park area and go to the Blackheath Library on Thursdays for rhyme time, everyone is really friendly there and there and lots of people go by themselves.

I also recommend the Charlton Toy library, it not only has a borrowing service (really cheap!) but you can go and play for free everyday except Wednesdays in the mornings.
Thursday is really nice, for under 2s and there are lots of nice mums there, everyone really down to earth and friendly.

See you there!

(at the mo closed for half term!)

Hi

I'm a working mum, is there anyone interested in meeting up after work or at the weekends for coffee, park or even better wine?

Sx

Hello there I am new to Mumsnet and new to Blackheath...I am due on sep 26 and am keen to find out what local baby groups there are in my area - (SE3) - can anyone help?

charlotteandjoni · 12/09/2010 17:52

Hi there! If you live in the Greenwich area feel free to join my 'greenwich mums' facebook page! I hold regular coffee mornings/afternoons, photo sessions, nights out and pamper afternoons! Would love to meet any mums and introduce them to other mums in the area.

Charlotte
