Moving to Weybridge - Queens Road

Hi all, I am hoping to move just off the Queens Road in weybridge. I just wondered if there is anything I should be aware of. (Noise / nuisance / safety walking alone in the evening… etc…)
many thanks

Well depends where you are as it's a long road but there's Reds which is pretty rowdy at times!

Ohh thank you - it is really quite close actually - just looked it up. Convenient when I want to go 😂 But maybe not so great when I don’t… when you say quite rowdy… is that in not a very nice way ? Ie fights etc… ?

I don't think fights - I've not been for ages - think it's an older crowd (divorcee pulling joint) but may have changed since covid.. it is a very busy main road so if you're right on it expect lots of traffic noise and sirens going past. Depends what you're used to - where are you moving from? It's a lovely spot though and certainly safe I'd say. Join weybridge network on Facebook to get a feel. Welcome - it's a fab town!

Thank you so much for all that info. I’m just one back from the main road so shouldn’t be too bad hoping noise wise. Joining so many groups it’s hard to keep up 😂
cant wait to get to know this lovely town x

Are you happy to be more specific on the location? One road back could be South Road which is quite a packed dead end or it could be as leafy as private High Pine Close.

Red bar spills out on the pavement at weekend evenings but they have bouncers and I'm not aware there's ever been trouble from it. As @schrev123 says, Queen's Road is busy, but it's all relative so it depends where you're moving from and what bothers you. It's also under one of the Heathrow take off flight paths, but we don't particularly notice.

I'm moving to Weybridge soon. Would you mind sharing any helpful tips on groups to join and how best to get involved in the local community? Are there any cafés, restaurants and bars you recommend?
