Hiya

We need to relocate south west near family but hubby works in London.

Currently live in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

Love the idea of a small green village or town and nice and quiet for kids to grow up.

What are the below areas like? We'd like to be in reaching distance of Winchester but perhaps a smaller village/town with a train.

Micheldever
Whitchurch
Alresford

We have one 18 month old and one on the way so need good primary schools. Would maybe look at moving to Winchester before secondary so more for kids to do on their doorstep (if we can afford it haha)

Any guidance appreciated

Micheldever - Lovely village but not much there. School and church is basically it. Be aware micheldever station is not in micheldever village !
Whitchurch - very nice small town ( don't call it a village) station with trains to London Waterloo, buses to Winchester, Andover and Basingstoke shops , library, doctors, schools, silk mill, river test and lots of ducks. it's a nice community, enough going on and very family focused.
Alresford - bigger town , no station so not as well linked for London. But it's a nice town and area.

All are nice but do consider if you want to be near transport links and amenities.

Alresford has an excellent secondary school that children from Winchester go to. There are good bus links and enough going on that you wouldn’t need or want to move to Winchester when they were older.
