Advice on moving from South to North!

Hey guys! We are relocating! 🙈

We love being rural but the question is where to go! Any recommendations about where to settle? We have 2 young babies. One just turned 2 and another 7 months. Hubby works full time and I've recently given up my job to look after the kids full time. So the world is pretty much our oyster. We have a lovely life down south but as the prices are cheaper up north it will enable us to buy our own in year to come. So any advice on areas to set up home would be greatly appreciated. We are mainly looking at Northumberland and Tyne and Wear. But anywhere rural with a good school, nice walks, horses, and preferably a village shop and a pub is on my dream rental list. We just need to find it. Otherwise we will have to settle nearer a town! Xx

Hey, did you move in the end? If yes, where to? Just found this thread whilst fishing for answers to my own question which is basically the same as yours! We're looking at market towns around Yorkshire/Northumberland/Scotland. Plenty of stunning scenery and hopefully cheaper real estate!
