Free trees in Colchester!

Colchester Borough Council are again giving free Tree's out to Colchester Residents. Details of the scheme are:

  1. Trees are available to Individuals who live in the Colchester Borough Council area with a limit of 5 Trees per person. Also available to schools, community groups, Town and Parish Councils (they can have more than 5 tree's but need to order them on an order form. Please contatact us for order form)
  2. The trees must be planted in the borough.
  3. There will be a total of 2008 trees consisting of the following species,
Field Maple ? Acer campestre

Silver Birch ? Betula pendula

Holly ? Ilex aquifolium

Bird Cherry ? Prunus padus

Dogwood ? Cornus alba Sibirica

Eleagnus augustifolia ? Quicksilver

Box ? Buxus sempervirens

Guelder Rose ? Viburnum opulus

Trees will be given away free of charge from the Council Offices at Rowan House (near Matalan's) over the weekend 19th to 20th January 2008

Apparently they are now restricitng it to 3 trees per household. Contact [email protected] for an order form.
