Local tsarina - just found the local site!

I'm ashamed to admit that I've only just found the aldershot & farnham local site tonight. For months I've thought the Guidford site was my local one!
I'm an SAHM Army wife in Aldershot with a little girl who's going to be 2 on Saturday 12th. Always up for a coffee if anyone's local and fancies it (loving having Casta Coffee on my doorstep now).

I'm local and only recently found Mumsnet. Completely hooked now though. So that I would say hi!

Regarding the music, you'd be less impressed if you saw some of the stuff other than Sarah McLachlan that I have on my Ipod at the moment.

I have my up's and down's about living here, but we're in a good area with good schools, so I can't complain about the facilities. But mostly "ups", I've got used to it over time.

It would be lovely to have my parents closer though, but that's life.

Hmm, and I miss square sausage, but I'm verryyy sad that way.

I've just found this local page too. I'm in Farnborough and am on teh guildford site as I thought that was my most local but I guess this one is. COuld do with more 'places to go' on it, some of the Guildford ones should be on here too.

I'm also a Scot living down here! From Dundee originally but was in Edinburgh for 4 years while at uni.

We could just about start a local Scottish Mafia . I'm in Fleet, and funnily enough went to college in Dundee for a year before returning to Edinburgh to go to Uni.

I'm desperately trying to remember the name of the pub in Dundee that my friend used to have a flat above. You can imagine, we just about lived in it when I was in Dundee. Going to bug me now until I remember.

I'm near Godalming, but no-one answers our local site, so I'm gatecrashing yours!

I grew up in Newport, so spent too long in Dundee pubs too I'm quite homesick. I don't get home often as my parents left Scotland about 10 years ago I want dd to know where mummy grew up.

Reamhar - I've ordered a cook book from amazon called "Maw Broon's Cookbook" which has recipes for all traditional scottish foods, including square sausage! Will send you the recipe when it finally arrives (is out of stock at the mo).
I know what you mean about your DD hotcrossbunny - DH and I are both from Glasgow but his job in the army means we live all over the place. We're planning to move back to Scotland when he gets out, which will be just as she starts school.

I'm not gonna be around for the next week or two as I'm going into hospital for gastric bypass surgery on Thursday, but when I'm recovered how about we arrange a get-together locally for a coffee?

I didn't spend a lot of time in Dundee pubs as I left when I was 17 to go to uni and obviously I would never have been in a pub underage!

I'm up for a Scottish mafia coffee meeting. I don't work Mondays and Tuesdays.
