Whipps Cross or Homerton?

Hi all - I'm having trouble deciding which maternity unit to use. I'm 24 weeks and my experience with Whipps so far has been fine, but others have suggested Homerton to give birth in. Whipps is my local, but I want to make sure I make the right choice. Has anyone got any experiences of Whipps that they can share? Thank you!

The problem is, everyone's experience will be based on a number of factors you will have little control over (which staff are on shift, who else is giving birth that day, if you have any complications etc). I had my first at Whipps, did not have a good experience and had my second at North Middlesex which was great. But equally I know people who had good and bad experiences at both Whipps and Homerton. I think if Whipps is local to you and you've had a good experience of it so far I'd probably stay with them

@cardboardbox24 thank you! You're right - there are so many factors at play. Do you mind me asking what year you had your first? I seem to be hearing better experiences recently, so I'm hoping things have gotten better

I had my eldest in 2016 at Whipps, and then my second in 2019 at North Middlesex.
