Hello you lot

I've just found out that I've got to fill out the forms for my 3 year old's school entry by 25th Jan, so am desperately trying to get info on local schools. Our nearest is Dog Kennel Hill with Lyndhurst second closest. Can anyone who sends their kids there let me have their opinion? Also, any ideas for 3rd and 4th choices? We live just off Champion Hill, SE5.

My kids are at Dog Kennel Hill and I'd definitely recommend it. It's got a great atmosphere, the kids get loads of chances to do interesting stuff as well as the standard curriculum. The school often brings in artists, dancers and musicians to do special projects with the children. It offers a really good all round education and prepares the kids well for secondary school. Definitely worth a visit.

Thanks - I'm booked in next week for a visit. I hear the head teacher has just left. Do you think this will change the nature of the school?

To be honest it's really hard to say at this point as the new head has only done a week and a half. I imagine some things may change but only time will tell.
