Teddies Nursery Balham

I'm considering putting my baby down for this nursery but would love any feedback from anyone who has used it or has heard about it. I liked it when I visited but the OFSTED report (Dec 06) only gives it satisfactory, tho I know the manager has changed since then.

Here's hoping!

Thanks.

Hi, this is purely my own instinct, but I find the Teddies nursery a bit depressing and it would not be my choice. I walk past it fairly often and it doesn't look well kept, yesterday the side gate was open and there was a fair bit of junk there. A friend of mine visited it and thought the staff a bit rough... I didn't like Eveline over the road either - too institution-like with babies lined up with not much to do and bored staff and the smell of over-boiled vegetables was worse than in a hospital. My first choice would be Stepping Stones if you are close enough, not that it strikes me as the perfect nursery either. Hope you find a place you are happy with.

Thanks for your message. Finding good childcare around seems to be so difficult. I have also heard good things about Stepping Stones but think it only opens till 6, and I can't leave work till 5.30.

Have a good weekend.
