Working Mother - Its soooooo hard!!!!!

Hi - I am new to Mumsnet. I have a baby girl just turned 1 (Xms Eve!)I work full time and my job involves a lot of travelling my hubby does to so our live's are always very busy and I sometimes feel guilty that I should be spending more time with my girl as I feel i am missing out on the most important times - however as I am sure you will appreciate bills have to be paid etc - we only moved to Norwich 2 years ago and due to spending most of my time here pregnant we have not had an opportunity to make many friends and as no family here either we struggle for any kind of social life but more importantly I dont get to mix with any other mothers nor Hollie with any children! I wonder if there are any others that i can share conversations and advice with out there as I am sure I am not alone!

Hi wadey whereabouts in norwich are you? My children are older, so I probably wouldn't be much use to you as company (in terms of friends for your daughter I mean!), but might be able to make some suggestions as to where to go to meet like-minded mums etc.

Hi Wadeysmith - I know exactly how you feel, we moved to Norwich July 06 and I worked up until Aug 07 and so any friend i have made are still working and because I work in a school the age limit of people is a little older than my grand old age of 30!
I have a son who i nearly 6 months and the centre of my very small world at the moment.
We frequent every babygroup going at the moment just to get out of the house!
Would love some contact with anyone who wants to meet for coffee etc

Im new to Norfolk too,living in Lenwade and quite isolated.Ive started p/t wotk but would love to meet other mums and toddlers for coffee or the odd morning out to zoo etc.I have come from an expat community and have found it really hard to meet mums here!Coffee anyone?
