Hi, we are considering moving to Saffron Walden for SWCH for my DS; he is in Y4 so we are hoping that we will be moving before the start of the Y7 entry process;
One colleague at work said that the number of years living in catchment area will be taken into consideration during the Y7 application process; this sounds a bit odd and certainly not stated as a criterion Essex County Council website!
Is there any truth in this comment?
I hope local mums/teachers/ECC staff could help!

My DD is in Y9 at SWCHS and this is the first time I've ever heard that rule, so I doubt it very much. They have their admissions criteria posted on the website I think.
