Moving to Hampton

Hello! DH & I currently live in Streatham, we’ve sold out flat & are looking to relocate with our 1.5 YO to live in Hampton. We absolutely love the area & the surrounding areas.

The property market seems extremely hot in the area & we need to make the move as DH has got a new job starting in May so the sooner we move the better his commute will be.

We’re looking for 3 bed houses with a decent garden (& ideally potential to do a loft extension) viewing houses in Hampton (villiage is mostly in our price bracket)

Budget: £850k

Wondered what any local experts think of Priory Road/ the village in general?

Lovely area. Bushy Park and Hampton Open Air Pool are both nearby and gorgeous. Train line can be a little slow, but if you're hybrid working that won't matter. Traffic can be bad on the A308 in rush hour or if there are events at Hampton Court or Kempton Park, but less so recently due to covid.

The current leader of Richmond Council (Gareth Roberts) lives in Hampton and is a councillor there. He champions the area quite vocally on Twitter and gets issues sorted quickly when he can.
