Hi. I’ve never posted on mumsnet before so hopefully in the right place!
I currently live in Reading but am planning a move to Eastleigh later this year with my two boys (1 and 3) and husband who will still need to commute to London once a week.
We need to sell our house and buy a new one but schools are very important to us in terms of areas as my eldest is starting reception in September. We don’t know the areas very well and are looking for honest opinions of the town and primary schools in Eastleigh and surrounding areas.
Oversubscribed schools are no good for us as we won’t get our son a place and we can only apply once we have moved house (I think!). Can anyone advise on the following schools and their experience of them:
Eastleigh:
The Crescent primary
Norwood primary
Nightingale primary
Crestwood community school (I know secondary but wanted to see what it’s like)
Chandlers Ford:
Fryern infant
Scantabout primary
Chandlers Ford infant
We want to be living near amenities but also part of a community with friendly families!
