Advice on moving to Shinfield?

I'm looking at Shinfield to buy a house and wondered what peoples views are and if there are any problems there, with it being so close to Whitney?

I've seen a townhouse in Rossby but just need more info on the area in terms of amenities, traffic issues, access in and out by car to nearby places or motorway if needed: nearby gyms/ restaurants supermarkets etc? Confused

Hi OP,
can you just clarify that you mean Shinfield in Berkshire ? You're references to Whitney and Rossby have confused me. There's a Whitley near Shinfield in Berkshire.

If it is the Shinfield in Berks that you mean - just watch any new build homes as they are a long way out with very few public amenities

Shinfield in Reading? Its alright. Nothing special.

Am I right in thinking you live in Lower Cav at the moment? (I'm not a stalker I just recognise your name). Rossby is probably about as nice as that imo. Unless it's had a major overhaul recently at least.

Yes haha it has to be nicer than lower Caversham lol! Had enough of boy racers!

Unless it's changed a lot around there it will also be full of boy racers. My best friend at secondary school lived very near there. It was much nicer where I lived (In lower Cav)
But it may well have changed.

We looked there as prices were (only slightly) less but the compromise on area wasnt worth it. Pretty much nomansland & not a very nice area. Boy racers dream! With it being so near lower earley

I don’t think that’s really Shinfield, it’s Whitley Wood. Sale by auction for a house like that usually means repossession too. I agree with others, boy racers and overspill issues from Whitley are likely.
Is it a bad thing if it was re-possessed?

Is Whitley still that bad?

I saw this property on home farm close and it really didn't look that bad around there?

Hey, can you write it a bit differently so it's allowed on here? I guess you are saying Whitley is that bad??
