Our current help has just gone back to Oz for Xmas and decided to stay there . Has anyone had experience in finding after school childcare for older children? It was more straightforward (though it didn't seem like it at the time) when they were younger but now (at 11 and 13) we just need someone to come in for the after school slot till we get in from work. The job is pretty easy (cook the girls tea and be a friendly face) but trying to find the right person isn't. We live in Isleworth and need to try to find local people, but I'm not sure where to advertise. We've had a few applicants off Gumtree but on the whole they don't live in the surrounding area and so don't seem to have given much thought as to how they might travel to our house. Any suggestions as to how we might find someone would be very welcome.
