i have lived in kettering for 2 years am origianlly from tring in hertfordshire.. apart from the lads at work i havnt made many friends now am on maternity leave have found myself in need of female adult conversation... if ne one fancies a chat write back..

Have you checked out sure start on stamford road. There are loads of groups on, including ones for new parents.

i Hve heard that if u go there u have to leave the babies in a creche? i think thats a bit odd personally.

no they do rhyme time and things like that with the children, the nursery on laburnum crescent have a childrens centre and they do rhymetime, courses of different discriptions, mum n toddler up to 18 months and theres a parent and toddler group at the crescents. I sent you a msg through CAT did u get it?

some things do have a creche itdepends on what it is usually a course or workshop

Do you guys drive because i run a friendly group Tuesday mornings 9.30 til 11 in Northampton? Adults have a chat whilst kids/babies have a play?

I'm not due till April 09 but will try to remember to try your group - I don't know many people in Northampton (I'm in Abington) and I will be a 1st-time mum so keen to meet others in the area.
