Looking for social life!!

Feeling a little bit isolated and lonely currently - anyone else in the same boat?
I'm 51, work full-time, have 2 grownup kids and a dog. I'm in St Austell, would love to meet others for coffee/chat/ walk/shopping etc!

How brave are you! I am feeling the same but not near you unfortunately.
I'm in Dorset.

@awishes not my best morning...dog got stressed in the car and disgraced himself massively, then he jerked my phone out of my hand and it smashed, and then I spilt hot coffee over my hand and burnt it! Oh and the lady I was meant to meet didn't turn up! so a bit of a waste of time. Messed up my day totally and I feel a bit silly for putting myself out there. Hey ho.

Don't feel silly. Yeah not the best morning but it was just one morning. Don't be disheartened.

Have you tried one of those "meetup" groups, you can search for groups in your area.

Oh no. That wasn't lucky at all but will make a funny story to tell to the next person you meet up with.

Sorry you've had a bad morning OP. Is there any local facebook groups? Do you have any children, I met a very close friend at a pregnancy exercise group, we meet up for coffee and play dates with the children.

Sorry I totally misread your OP! How about colleagues at work, is there anyone in a similar situation to you? I meet some of my colleagues on the weekend for a catch up.
