Langley Waterside development

We're thinking about moving to Beckenham and have just viewed a beautiful house in the Langley Waterside development. We would love to hear from others who live or lived there. Does the development have a community feel and would you recommend moving there with a family of 3 (soon 4)? How does it compare to Langley Park and Langley court? Do children mix between the various developments? What is your experience with the local schools and nurseries (the closest nursery seems to be Funshine in Eden Park - is it any good)? Are there any interesting activities for little ones closeby?

I am very near, lived there all my life. A long time before it was built, when it was a Wellcome Research Centre. You are very near Kelsey Park which is lovely, it has a playground, cafe, pond with ducks and swans, plenty of green space to walk around and you can walk to Beckenham through the park. Just up the road is the Chinese Roundabout where there are several shops and cafe, Sponge Kitchens is a bit of a local institution.
The local secondaries would be Langley girl's and Langley boys, for primaries I would try and get into clare house if you can.
You are also quite near Eden Park and West wickham which has a swimming pool.
Transport links are excellent, you have beckenham junction and eden park into london. Buses from bromley and Croydon run by Langley Waterside but the roads inside Langley Park can be a bit of a walk, it depends what roads you live in. Langley Park is mostly detached 30s houses, the white corner ones always seemed the largest.
Youve also got LP golf and tennis clubs.
