So, we are on Plan C for half term and are coming to Ambleside for a few days next week. The weather doesn't look great but we are determined to get out and about and make the best of it. In previous visits we have walked the Coffin route to Grasmere and back on a different route. We have visited the pencil museum, and various NT properties. We've taken a boat on Windermere and complete the Ambleside treasure trail.
Could anyone suggest some half day walks or other gems of places for us to explore? I've booked the children in for climbing one afternoon. Thank you!
