Where is there to go on a daytime/evening first date in Stevenage?
Neither of us have been there before. We chose it because we're both going by train and Stevenage is halfway between us.
Please help, need to know about nice places to go in the daytime, leading into the evening - parks, pubs, places to eat, whatever you've got will be enormously helpful!
Thank you x

Not to be anti Stevenage but if you go one stop further on the train and meet in Hitchin, there are lovely shops, restaurants and pubs within a fifteen minute walk from the station. There's a nice park too.
have fun

Just thought I'd add - I'm looking for actual names of pubs, places, etc that are recommended - don't want to end up somewhere that's a bit of a dive, lol
And sod it, Stevenage OR Hitchin, lol

I dont live in Stevenage - but I remember Old Stevenage is ok - think theres a Wetherspoons there.
Otherwise theres the Leisure Park in Stevenage which has loads of places to eat /bowling etc.
Im not sure where the station is?? anyone?

Sienna in the old town is pretty nice-upstairs for the over 30's and nice food-downstairs for the "younger" crowd

There is also a Prezzo in the High St.

Hope this helps.
