Schools! Ack!

We are relocating from the US in January and looking for schools. I think the kids are in S1 and P5 this year. They've been in smaller, more alternative schools until now, but new place, new school adventure. Everyplace seems full up! And I am lost as to what's what. We loved the look of Heriot's and EA, both full.

Does anyone know anything about Clifton Hall? Loretto? Any other ideas?

We're looking at local schools, too, but that depends on where we find to live.

Help!

My DC are at Loretto Junior school and I am really happy with it. The school is a real community with pupils and parents all knowing each other. Class sizes are small so kids get a lot of individual attention. There are specialist sport, music, art, drama and a French teachers as well.

Esms? They do big intake in p6 (so august 22) so about 50 spaces up for grabs

I've talked with EA, Watson's, Heriot's, and ESMS. All full with waiting lists. I'd hate to put them into somewhere for half the year and then move them again. Is it typical for them all to be full up? Or is it an issue of the time of year or Covid

The only places so far with room are Loretto and CH and the Steiner School.

Could try Cargilfield for the younger one, but older one too old for there (only goes up to age 13).
