hi,
just thought i'd let you know that my partner and i are bringing playball to Sheffield, Playball is sportskills coaching for children aged 2-8 and is already really big in other parts of the world and is rapidly growing in the south of England. Our website is not yet up and running, but you can have a look at the playball uk website for more info www.playball-uk.com.
We have classes starting in Millhouses park, Hillsborough park and a venu on ecclesall rd which is still be arranged if your interested in booking a place or if you would like some more info you can email me at [email protected]. We are so enthusastic about this as our 2 year old loves it and as a mummy i am very pleased she is getting some exercise whilst learning.

Apparently they are doing this at DD's school - some trial sessions.

ellaandmoo · 25/01/2008 21:43

I'd love to hear what she thinks of them. We are doing sessions at a few sheffield schools.

I think they have just started it with DD's year group at her school now (an small independent girls school near the city centre). I am sure DD siad it was called Playball. If so she is loving it!

Will be looking out for the Ecclesall venue...

Hulababy · 20/05/2008 20:39

Is your website up and running yet?

ellaandmoo · 21/05/2008 20:41

Yes its www.payballyorkshire.co.uk. Were coach at a few of the prep schools now so i'm not entirely sure which your daughter is at but I'm pleased she is enjoying it. Our summer camps are enrolling soon, the details will be on our website soon and you will probably get a letter home with your daughter. let me know if you'd like anymore info. Emma

Any idea when you might be strting in Ecclesall area, or another area closer to centre?

Hulababy · 29/05/2008 10:35

Oh, and for school age children?

ellaandmoo · 30/05/2008 17:55

We have summer camps on during the school holidays for 4-8 year olds in Fulwood not far from your daughters school. I have updated the website today with the dates.

We are also starting an afterschool club at your daughters school at the start of the next school year. (goodness planning for that already seems crazy). Mrs ticklemouse i think i have already answered your question by email if not let me know. Thanks Emma

Ooh, the afterschool club there would be fab Tues/Wed are our best days, lol

Have had the ads home for the summer camps today. Sadly we aren't able to commit to a full week of something though, due to my work committments. If and when a regular weekely thing starts up locally, or at school, we will be very interested though.

Hulababy · 28/08/2008 21:16

Sadly the after school club at school is only for Prep, so DD is a year too young

Hope you get something more central.

ithinkimtallandblonde · 01/12/2008 19:13

Hi Hulababy, i'm sorry i always forget to check local talk. If i'm right your daughter should have started classes on a friday during school hours, my husband takes that class so i'm not positive. If so i hope she's enjoying it.

Hulababy · 01/12/2008 19:18

Yesm DD is doing it in school time on a Friday and also after school on a Monday. She really enjoys it. All the girls do from what I can gather.

ithinkimtallandblonde · 01/12/2008 19:23

Thats really good hear, i would have been teaching her whilst jack was away. We both love teaching at her school its fab and the girls are brilliant.

Hulababy · 01/12/2008 19:34

I have heard DD mention Jack.

Was it your little one who was poorly recently? If so I hope he is okay now.

DD is called Mollie and does the after school Playball club.

ithinkimtallandblonde · 01/12/2008 20:15

Your DD is an absolute sweetheart and has very lovely manners, she is an absolute credit to you.
It was me, we had an absolute nightmare whilst Jack was in Australia, our baby has asthma and caught a virus so he ended up at the childrens for a couple of days. He's all better now thankfully.
I think the girls are delighted to have Jack back, he's the favourite coach, i'm under no illusion there. Will you be going to the school ball in June?

ithinkimtallandblonde - thank you we think she is lovely, but great to hear that she is polite elsewhere too. Her and her friend, O, love their Playball sessions on a Monday afterschool, and on Friday in school time.

Yes, we are off to the ball in June for the 60th anniversary. Should be a good night. Are you going too?
