My son is interested in studying engineering, however his GCSE grades were lower than expected in maths and physics meaning he wasn't can't go for traditional A'level options. Friend recommended looking at STEM colleges opened by the government to address the storage of skilled workers in these areas. Our local one Elutec offers diploma in engineering equivalent to 3 A'levels. Review of these colleges are mostly bad with odd one or two doing ok. Son considering Elutec, went to open day he liked it. Anyone know how good it is? any person experience? Last ofted report in 2019 said inadequate, but some schools need time to establish, right? This ok one open 2016.
