Has anyone met an Islington mum they hadn't met before thro Mumsnet Local?

Just looking through Local to check it's all working as planned and as Islington's my local site thought I'd do a straw poll on what you all thought of the local site, how much you used it and whether you'd met any Mumsnetters through it?

I met most of my mum friends through ante-natal classes. Although I did meet one lovely MN-er through the Islington local pages, and we now meet up weekly. I love the Islington pages and am really grateful for people posting stuff up here, especially events like Nappacinos etc.

I haven't but would def be interested. i live in holloway and have a 6mo boy. the mums i know are from post-natal yoga & a local parentbaby group, but it would be great to meet up with other interested MNers
