Hi Everybody,

Could anyone let me know their thoughts on St Luke’s CofE Primary School? I’ve seen the latest Ofsted wasn’t great but not sure if it’s that terrible?
It seems to be the only school that has a place for in-year admission at the moment.

The Ofsted and the newspaper article date from 3 years ago, and a lot can change in 3 years. There was a monitoring inspection in 2018, which focussed on the safeguarding aspect, and it's clear from that report that there had already been a lot of change - new leadership, other staff changes. When a school is found inadequate, there is usually quite a lot of support put in and improvement can be quite significant. It's a pity there isn't a more recent update, but obviously it's been a difficult time to inspect schools fairly.

So I would focus on what you can find out from other sources - hopefully you might find some parents who can tell you how they find it. If not, ask the questions of the school - look at the faults Ofsted found and ask what has changed.
