The proposed Southampton project for Connect2 would create a stunning circular walkway across Horsehoe Bridge and Northam Bridge and link up with the Riverside Park cycle path. If the Big Lottery bid is successful, Sustrans (ie sustainable transport, geddit?) will spend £1.5m on the scheme which will be matchfunded by Southampton City Council.
