Hi all- am quite desperate- my son who is 3 goes hysterical when he has to get a haircut, they run from him screaming never again- keep him out- Have tried to explain that his hair will grow down to his feet and we really must get it cut. I have cut it myself but what can I say- at least its winter and he can wear a hat. Does anyone know of a brave hairdresser who can handle children.

Have you tried hair by nikita, which is in Tesco's. Its very child friendly, they have a little play area and will normally put on a DVD for the child to watch, while their hair is being cut.
There is also 'Juniors Children's Hair Salon' that is based in Merstham

Hello...would like to suggest Kutz4kids on the Brighton rd Purley - near Fitness First. It's got a couple of proper kid's hair chairs, tv that plays dvd's (pingu's always a fave)lollipops and a certificate with your child's first hair cut with a clipping of hair. Have been taking our son for a year now and he loves it...but all kids are different - explain that your son is very nervous and give it a try.
