I have a property in Southsea that I inherited from my mother and it's been rented out for the last 12 years. I live in France. I haven't been back for 10 years but I used to live in the area myself and loved it.
My circumstances have changed and I am considering moving back to live in the house. I'm 77, fit and healthy but my partner is older with mobility problems. What's Southsea like now, is it still a good place to live? Is Albert Road still full of interesting shops and restaurants? (I realise some of these might not be able to open again after lockdowns). Is the bus service still good? What local shops are there, I remember Waitrose, Debenhams, Tyrell & Green, butchers, bakers, greengrocers. Can you get an appointment with a GP reasonably easily? What's the general impression? TIA
