Anyone know how oversubscribed the first schools are in Morpeth?

Hi :) We are hoping to move to Morpeth next Spring, however it is likely to be after the schools deadline and my DD will be due to start reception that Autumn. I’m a bit worried about her getting a schools place- does anyone know if the schools are quite oversubscribed or is she likely to get a place somewhere? My parents live there but don’t know anyone with school age kids. Thanks!

Should be lots of info on council website. Are there any local parenting Facebook groups? They’re often a good source of info

I grew up there, don't live there now, so envious that your dc get to go to school and grow up there [totally misses point of thread]

Yeah I can find lots of info on the application process but not much on what the actual chances are :/ no fb parents groups that I can find except for a couple that are based around particular schools (so won’t have this issue!)

Haha glad you had a good experience @MozzchopsThirty! I spent a good part of my childhood in one of the slightly less posh towns in the area. We all moved away and now we’re all coming back!
